Course Description:
This 3-day course is designed to train personnel in the roles and responsibilities of an Incident Commander in a Type 2 Incident Management Team. The course covers the Leadership, Mobilization, Incident Management, Administration, and Demobilization of a Type 2 IMT. This is accomplished through lectures and short exercises. A closed book test is administered at the conclusion of the class. A score of 70% is mandatory for successful completion of the course.

After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Define and describe the role of the Incident Commander in managing complex extended all risk incidents.
- Describe the role of the Incident Commander in leading an Incident Management Team.
- Identify the Incident Management Team's role in using appropriate interpersonal communication skills and management principles necessary for effective and efficient incident management.
